On the evening of Wednesday, April 16, 2019, Rick Najera welcomed legendary comedian, actor and avid Chicano art collector Cheech Marin to the stage for a night of dialogue and inspiration providing the audience with a rare look into the duo’s shared history.
The Latino Thought Makers show was part of the 11th Annual 2019 AHSIE Conference and was held at Riverside City College’s Coil Auditorium in Riverside, CA. AHSIE is the Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institution Educators (AHSIE) supports the work of the nation’s Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) as they seek to provide quality, relevant educational opportunities to large and growing numbers of underserved populations, particularly Hispanic students.
